The Founders

Texas Tech University
April 6, 1987

The Founders are Cynthia Garza-Fleitman, Nellie Flores-Ledesma, Irene Montoya and Melissa Montoya. With the strong foundations of service, Christianity and friendship, they created a sisterhood that 20 years later is stronger than ever. They sought to incorporate the principles of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership into this organization. 

Our Mission Statement

Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. (KDChi), was established on April 6, 1987, at Texas Tech University. KDChi is a Latina founded organization focused on service to local campuses and broader communities. KDChi aims to help women of all backgrounds achieve the dream of a higher education, to provide leadership development opportunities, to foster a worldwide network of professionals, and to promote lifelong learning and civic engagement.

Alpha Kappa Chapter

The Alpha Kappa Chapter of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. was chartered on November 12, 2005 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison by ten Always Kapptivating women. Over the years, our chapter has continued to grow and evolve while upholding the traditional values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity and Leadership.
